kitchen - before and after

I am happy with my new clean kitchen...I've mixed in the before and after photos here.  The clean ones are the "after."  :)

master bedroom - in progress

I tackled my master bedroom this weekend.  Moved all the furniture
around and cleaned it all up.  I like it!

Still need to work on a few things - I'd like something above the bed
- a small collage of photos, I think?  And I'd like to get rid of the
dresser, as it's just there taking up space (there is nothing in it).

It's a good start to the Cure!

one: i love the simplicity.  maybe I could do this in grey in our bedroom?

two: i like the photo arrangement on the wall.  am thinking about where i can use this.

three: this just looks inviting and warm.

four: i'd like the guest room to feel more like this - very green and white.

five: i LOVE this red desk.  however, it's $500.  ugh.  would be great for a landing strip idea...

six: an idea for our boring fireplace mantel(s) - we have four of them!

seven: my whole design aesthetic is very craftsman-esque, i think.  feels homespun, cozy, but is warmth with clean lines rather than soft edges.

apartment therapy spring cure 2010

So I've committed to the spring cure, which starts today!  Now I need to get my reading done and start thinking about my vision.

I would like to finally create an apartment that feels like home for me and the boy.  We've been here for a year and a half now and still things feel a bit in transit.
